All purchases made from Ruth Pretty Catering from this site are in New Zealand dollars, and include the New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless expressly stated otherwise.
The booking process is very simple, with 5 easy to follow steps: Choose class ? Name/s attending ? Your details ? Make payment ? Confirm. These are set out at the top of the page at each step, and your current step is highlighted for you. When you have completed each step, click on the box at the foot of the page which tells you what the next step is.
You can use the ‘Back’ arrow key at any point until you get to the Make Payment stage. Then, the bank’s system for on-line payment means you cannot use the ‘Back’ arrow. If you need to correct a mistake, we are sorry but you need to close down the transaction and start again.
When the credit card payment process is complete, a box from the bank’s DPS system will come up showing the payment is accepted. Please click on NEXT (with a red arrow) where requested, to bring up a confirmation of the transaction. This is a tax invoice and we recommend you print it for your records.
Class places are allocated in the order we receive bookings. We will email you a confirmation and a tax invoice for your records. Sometimes spam filters can be over-protective and prevent this message getting through, and this is why we recommend you print the confirmation for your records.
You're welcome to book for more than one person for a class, but please include the names of everyone in your group so we know you're together. If you are booking for a group we'll treat you as the organiser, charge your credit card for all participants and send the confirmation to you to keep it simple. So, one credit card booking per group please. For groups of six or more, we will try to pre-seat you so you sit together.
Using Your Gift Voucher
If you're paying with a paper gift voucher, please include the card number where requested and send us the original voucher (to PO Box 16041, Te Horo 5544).
When booking on-line, please check the information you enter is correct before committing to payment. Please do not use the ‘Back button’ once you have started the payment process. If you have made a mistake, or the instructions advise there has been an error, please close out of the website and start the transaction again.
Please click here to add your name to the waiting list. Please specify the class you want, your preferred date (and a back-up date if possible) and your contact numbers. We'll contact you directly if there's an opening.
Refund & Cancellation Policies
If you can’t attend a class you’re booked for, you may send a replacement. Please let us know that person's name. If you don’t have a substitute, contact us as early as possible. There is often a waiting list for classes, so we may be able to arrange a replacement for you. However, if your place is left empty on the day, there will be no refund of the class fee.
Sometimes we have to cancel or change a class. In that event, participants will be invited to transfer their booking to another class or receive a full refund
