Entertain 50 VIP guests with a non-stop hospitality buffet and drinks, involving a very a wide range of tastes and ensuring the food never stopped. Guests could "graze” at the buffet table throughout the evening as they enjoyed the show. There was a separate hospitality buffet and drinks for the star and his band.The Result
When Elton John came to Wellington for a single concert at the Westpac Stadium, we were honoured to cater for him and the band, plus selected guests. As outside caterers, we had a special dispensation to use several corporate boxes.Elton and his band didn’t really eat beforehand but needed (and enjoyed) sustenance afterwards. Starting out fresh and light, the food increased in substance as the evening progressed before concluding with some small but delicious sweet tastes.
As you might imagine, the star’s entourage had some very specific requests, with a huge range of mineral waters, soft drinks and teas sourced. For example, we provided a choice of fresh skimmed milk, soy milk and goat’s milk.
The main emphasis was on fresh and healthy foods, with lots of fruit and vegetables, plus sugar-free and fat-free cookies for after the concert.
Our staff kept the buffet table looking attractive and well-stocked, and responded instantly to individual requests. After all, the show must go on!
